Site Plan
Plans for the 18-acre site are still underway but basic considerations include:
- building locations set in a manner to offer both privacy and community.
- gardens and orchards developed in areas to create privacy and natural barriers from roads and neighbors.
- large community spaces, like a common room in the barn, and smaller community spaces, like fire pits between houses.
- landscaping to create maximum natural rainwater usage and storage
Buildings will include residential homes, a respite home, a staff bunkhouse, a guest house, greenhouse, a multi-purpose barn, and an office. Also included in the site will be orchards, gardens, animal pens and a swimming pool.
The Tejido Group with the University of Arizona completed an initial site plan concept. The concept will to modified as architectural and engineering work proceeds.
